Statistical Information about Vas
During the course of our work we have discovered that there is a shortage of accurate information that enables a proper assessment to be made about the performance of VAs. It is important to know how many VAs fail in given periods and why and also how many actually complete their term satisfactorily.

Recommendation
The JIC should obtain from the RPBs details of VAs on an annual basis to enable performance tables to be completed. This should enable a better understanding and proper assessments to be made with action taken where there are higher than average failures. It would be helpful if these statistics could be published.
