IPC Research

The IPC considered commissioning its own research into pre-packs and complaints handling in the insolvency profession. As R3 had already commissioned research into pre-packs (by Dr Sandra Frisby of the University of Nottingham) which will cover the points of interest to us, we decided just to commission an IPC project on Complaints Handling and Disciplinary Procedures in early 2007.

Funds are available for this purpose from a grant by the Trustees of the Barbican Settlement. We have also had discussions with the IS about the feasibility of a research project into the reasons why IVAs fail and we are pleased to note that the IS is now taking this forward.
